KD Competitions operates prize competitions under UK law. This Refund Policy explains your rights regarding ticket purchases and is written in compliance with the Consumer Rights Act 2015, the Consumer Contracts (Information, Cancellation and Additional Charges) Regulations 2013 and the Consumer Protection from Unfair Trading Regulations 2008.
Please read this policy carefully before purchasing tickets. By completing a purchase you confirm that you have read and understood these terms.

No Right to Cancel — Digital Content
Under the Consumer Contracts Regulations 2013, consumers ordinarily have a 14-day right to cancel distance contracts. However, this right does not apply to digital content where the consumer has expressly consented to the supply beginning immediately and acknowledged that their right to cancel is lost upon delivery.
When you purchase competition tickets on KD Competitions:
- Your ticket entry is processed and delivered immediately upon payment confirmation
- Your instant win result is revealed immediately upon purchase
- You expressly consent to immediate supply at the point of checkout
- Your right to cancel under the Consumer Contracts Regulations is therefore lost at the point your ticket is issued and your result is revealed
For this reason competition tickets are non-refundable once purchased except in the circumstances set out below.
Payment Restrictions
In line with the DCMS Voluntary Code of Good Practice for Prize Draw Operators (November 2025), KD Competitions does not accept credit card payments on instant win draws. All purchases must be made using a debit card. This restriction is in place to protect our customers and ensure responsible play in line with the Code.
If a payment is processed using a method not permitted under our payment terms we reserve the right to cancel the order and issue a full refund.
When You Are Entitled to a Refund
We will issue a full refund in the following circumstances:
1. Competition Cancelled by KD Competitions If we cancel a competition before the closing date for any reason, all ticket holders for that competition will receive a full refund to their original payment method within 5–10 working days.
2. Duplicate Payment If you have been charged more than once for the same order due to a technical error, we will refund all duplicate charges in full within 5 working days of the error being identified.
3. Technical Error Preventing Entry If a verified technical fault on our platform prevented your entry from being registered despite payment being taken, we will either refund your payment in full or allocate your entry at your preference.
4. Competition Does Not Run If a competition fails to reach its closing date or ticket limit and we are unable to proceed with the draw, all ticket holders will receive a full refund within 5–10 working days.
5. Fraud or Unauthorised Transaction If you believe your payment details were used fraudulently to purchase tickets on our platform without your authorisation, please contact us immediately at info@kdcompetitions.co.uk and we will investigate and refund accordingly.
6. Payment Made Using a Prohibited Method If a payment is processed using a method not permitted under our terms (for example a credit card on an instant win draw) we will cancel the order and issue a full refund within 5 working days.
