2. Introduction

These Terms of Service ("Terms") govern your use of the KD Competitions website and your participation in any competition we operate. By accessing our website or purchasing tickets you agree to be bound by these Terms in full.

If you do not agree with any part of these Terms you must not use our website or enter any competition.

We may update these Terms from time to time. The date at the top of this page indicates when they were last revised. Your continued use of our website after any changes constitutes acceptance of the updated Terms.

3. Legal Status of Our Competitions

KD Competitions operates prize competitions under UK law. Our competitions are not lotteries or gambling products and are governed by:

  • The Consumer Protection from Unfair Trading Regulations 2008
  • The Gambling Act 2005 (free entry route)
  • The Consumer Rights Act 2015
  • The Consumer Contracts (Information, Cancellation and Additional Charges) Regulations 2013
  • The DCMS Voluntary Code of Good Practice for Prize Draw Operators (November 2025, updated February 2026)

A free postal entry route is available for every competition we run, ensuring our competitions fall outside the definition of a lottery under the Gambling Act 2005. No purchase is necessary to enter.

KD Competitions operates in line with the DCMS Voluntary Code of Good Practice for Prize Draw Operators, published by the Department for Culture, Media and Sport in November 2025. This Code sets standards for player protection, transparency and accountability. Our responsible play tools are available at kdcompetitions.co.uk/pages/responsible-play.

4. Eligibility

To enter any KD Competition you must:

  • Be aged 18 years or over
  • Be a resident of the United Kingdom
  • Have a valid UK billing address
  • Not be an employee, contractor or immediate family member of KD Competitions

By entering a competition you confirm that you meet all eligibility requirements. We reserve the right to request proof of eligibility at any time. If you are found to be ineligible your entry will be void and any prize forfeited.

5. How to Enter

Paid Entry Select your chosen competition, choose the number of tickets you wish to purchase and complete the checkout process. Payment must be received in full before your entry is confirmed. All prices are displayed in GBP (£) and include VAT where applicable.

Free Postal Entry A free entry route is available for every competition. To enter by post please visit our Free Postal Entry page at kdcompetitions.co.uk/pages/free-postal-entry for full instructions. One free postal entry per person per competition is permitted. Postal entries must arrive before the competition closing date.

6. Instant Win Format

KD Competitions uses an instant win format. This means:

  • Your result is revealed immediately upon completing your purchase
  • You will know instantly whether your entry has won a prize
  • There is no scheduled draw date — your result is determined at the point of purchase
  • Each ticket is assigned a unique identifier before any tickets are sold
  • The winning ticket number is pre-determined by a verified random process before the competition opens

This format ensures complete fairness as the winning outcome cannot be influenced after tickets go on sale.

7. Ticket Limits and Odds

  • Each competition has a clearly stated maximum number of tickets
  • We deliberately keep ticket numbers low to provide genuinely competitive odds
  • The maximum number of tickets per competition will never be exceeded
  • Your odds of winning are clearly displayed on each competition page
  • Purchasing multiple tickets increases your chance of winning proportionally
  • We reserve the right to set a maximum number of tickets per person per competition

8. Prices and Payment

  • All ticket prices are displayed clearly before purchase in GBP (£)
  • Payment is processed securely through our payment provider
  • We accept debit cards only on instant win competitions
  • Credit cards are not accepted on instant win draws in line with the DCMS Voluntary Code of Good Practice for Prize Draw Operators (November 2025)
  • Payment is taken immediately upon checkout
  • All transactions are subject to our standard security checks
  • We reserve the right to cancel and refund any order that fails our fraud checks
  • Monthly spend limits may apply in line with our player protection obligations under the DCMS Voluntary Code

9. Winners

Notification Winners will be contacted using the email address registered to their account within 24 hours of the winning entry being confirmed.

Claiming Your Prize Winners must respond to our notification email within 14 days. Failure to respond within this period may result in the prize being forfeited and a redraw taking place.

Verification Winners may be required to provide proof of identity and age before a prize is released. We reserve the right to withhold prizes pending satisfactory verification.

Cash Alternative Every prize on KD Competitions comes with a cash alternative. Winners may choose to accept the stated cash value instead of the physical prize. The cash alternative value is displayed on each competition page. Cash alternatives will be paid to the winner's bank account within 7 working days of winner verification being completed.

Prize Delivery Physical prizes will be delivered free of charge to a UK address. We aim to deliver prizes within 14 working days of winner verification. Delivery timescales may vary for large items such as vehicles.

Publicity By entering a competition you agree that KD Competitions may use your first name and location for promotional purposes (e.g. "Sarah from Manchester won £500"). We will never publish your full name, address or contact details without your explicit consent.

10. Competition Rules

Each competition is subject to these general Terms as well as any specific terms displayed on the individual competition page. In the event of a conflict the specific competition terms take precedence.

  • Entries made by third parties, competition entry agencies or bots will be disqualified
  • KD Competitions employees, contractors and their immediate family members cannot enter
